We were both taught by role models in our childhood that Real Estate was a way toward freedom, that had the power to also help other humans along the way. From there, it was locked in our minds that we had futures in real estate. We come well-equipped with a unique experience set in this Real Estate Adventure - both of our backgrounds are in building and construction management. And we believe that this, and our passion for providing affordable and reliable housing will allow us to succeed in our mission to house humans while fostering freedom. 

Matt | 20 Years in Construction 

Matt started out building cabinets 50 hours a week in his neighbors garage in high school. After high school, Matt headed to the Union hall to join the ranks of the Carpenters Union and spent 5 years building some of Las Vegas's most iconic towers. Looking to deepen his experience and to take on a larger challenge, Matt moved to Cameroon, Africa for 3 years as a Construction Manager for one of the world's largest and foremost guitar manufactures. There he designed and managed the construction of a new ebony wood saw mill. This included not only the management of the design and construction but also navigating international political affairs and training a labor workforce while learning to speak French. After successfully completing this multi-year project, Matt moved back to the U.S. where he founded his own Carpentry Business in Las Vegas working primarily in the residential space. Before long, Matt was asked to rejoin the Millwork company he worked for in his Union days, this time as a Project Manager. In 2023, Matt left the world of luxury construction behind to manage our properties grow our portfolio and partnerships. 

Kassy | 18 Years in Construction 

Kassy started out in Construction at 18 years old. Working her way from temporary receptionist to Project Manager for a mid-sized General Contractor, she learned the intricacies of managing teams and the back-end business. After being head-hunted by a client, Kassy joined an International Consulting firm based out of London, where she managed the Design and Construction of Flagship retail stores in Beverly Hills, CA such as Tiffany & Co. and Ralph Lauren. Though the fast pace of retail projects was fun, she was thirsty to make a larger, less wasteful impact on the Construction Industry and joined an elite Construction Technology firm 8+ years ago. Today, Kassy leads a team that delivers Construction Education to the employees of her firm as well as the Construction Industry at large aimed at helping workforce development to lesson the impacts of the labor shortage in the construction industry.  

Partners in Business, and in Life

When we're not building a business together, we are building a life together. You can find us outside! We spend our weekends camping with our dogs, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, river rafting and traveling to see friends, family and beautiful places. 

As humans navigating life, we are both very rooted in our personal values and have had the good fortune to work for values-driven companies in our long Construction careers. What does this mean for Agile Properties? Well, it will be values-driven as well.
